  • Guest / Public Browsing: You can use the calendar, convert dates, and explore festivals without creating an account or providing any personal information.
  • Local Preference Storage: App preferences (such as selected language, theme, and status bar notification toggles) are stored locally on your device via browser LocalStorage / Android DataStore.
  • Offline Panchanga Database: Date records are cached locally in your device's Room database or static data files for fast, reliable offline access.

3. Google Sign-In & User Account Data

When you choose to sign in to Mero Miti using your Google Account (via Google OAuth 2.0), we receive specific profile information authorized by you:

  • Information Received: Your name, email address, profile picture URL, and unique Google account identifier.
  • How We Use This Data:
    • To authenticate your identity and maintain your logged-in session securely via encrypted cookies.
    • To store and synchronize your personalized calendar preferences (e.g., custom tithi filters, public holiday alerts, language choice, and auspicious muhurat settings).
    • To generate your unique, personalized iCalendar (.ics / Webcal) subscription links for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook.
  • What We Do NOT Collect: We do NOT access your Google contacts, Google Drive files, private emails, calendar events outside Mero Miti, or any other sensitive account data.
